This policy explains what information Gofer Works ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the text-message services we run for local home-service businesses.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Information we collect
- From businesses that use Gofer Works: business name, owner name, phone numbers, email address, business hours, services offered and billing details.
- From people who call or text a business that uses Gofer Works: your phone number, the time of your call, the text messages you send and receive, and details you choose to share, such as your name, address and the service you need.
- From this website: anything you send us by email. This site does not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To reply to your call or text on behalf of the business you contacted, and to schedule, confirm and follow up on the service you asked about.
- To alert the business owner about your request, including urgent ones.
- To honor opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests.
- To run, secure and improve our services, and to bill our business customers.
How we share it
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
- With the business you contacted, so they can do the work.
- With service providers that help us deliver the service, such as phone and text-message carriers, our messaging platform, hosting providers, and an AI service that helps write replies. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, the public or us.
Text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages from that number. Reply HELP for help.
- Email us to ask what information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep message records for as long as the business you contacted uses Gofer Works, and for up to 2 years after that for legal and billing purposes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and the law allows it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and restricted access, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
Our services are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
